IWMN Terms of Service
I Want My Needs Ltd (RC 9967611) ("IWMN", "we", "us") · 7b Remibol Estate, Ikotun, Lagos Effective date: 27 October 2026 · Version: 1.0
These terms apply when you use the IWMN app, website or WhatsApp line (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to them. Please also read our Returns and Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms.
1. What IWMN is
IWMN is a demand-first marketplace. It works in two ways:
- Requests. You post a need with a budget range. Independent IWMN agents find matching items from third-party sellers. IWMN checks the offers, and you choose one. In request deals, the seller is the third party and IWMN acts as an intermediary that arranges, verifies and protects the deal.
- IWMN Store. Products that IWMN owns and sells directly from its own warehouse, marked "Sold by IWMN". In Store purchases, IWMN is the seller.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- You sign in with your Nigerian phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and codes secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information, including your name, delivery address and contact details, and keep it up to date.
- One person, one buyer account. We may ask you to verify your identity before high-value transactions or payouts.
3. Posting needs (requests)
- Standard requests are free to post. You can have up to 2 open Standard requests at a time.
- Priority requests carry a priority fee, shown before you post, and go to top-rated agents first.
- If we can't find your item within your budget, the priority fee is returned as IWMN credit. - If you buy, the priority fee is deducted from the service fee you pay.
- Your budget range is private. Agents see only a target price.
- Service fee. When you buy through a request, you pay the item price plus IWMN's service fee. The fee is based on the final price and always shown before you pay. Store items carry no service fee.
- Deciding on offers. When we present verified offers within your budget and specification, please decide within 72 hours. Declining is fine with a valid reason, for example the offers don't match the condition or specification you asked for.
- Reliability rating. Walking away from in-budget, in-spec offers without a valid reason, or not responding within 72 hours, adds a strike.
- One strike is a warning. - Two strikes within 90 days restrict you to Priority requests for 21 days. Your priority fee is not credited back if you walk away again. - Strikes expire after 90 days with no new strike. - You can ask us to review any strike.
- Boosts. You get one free boost a month for a Standard request.
4. Buying
- Prices are in naira and include VAT where it applies. The total, including delivery, is shown before you pay.
- Payment is processed by licensed payment providers (currently Paystack). We do not store your full card details.
- IWMN Assured.
- Request deals: we hold your payment until you confirm the item matches, or until the inspection window ends with no problem reported. The window is usually 48 hours after delivery. We then pay the seller. - Store purchases: you have the same inspection window, plus the 7-day return rights in the Returns and Refunds Policy.
- Store availability and errors. Stock is held for you for a short time while you pay. If an item becomes unavailable, or a clear pricing error is shown, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
- Credits are not cash. They can't be withdrawn and may expire as stated in the app. They can be used for Store purchases, priority fees and request deals.
5. Delivery
- Delivery fees depend on your location and the item's size and weight. They are set with our logistics partners and shown at checkout.
- Delivery times are estimates, shown as "usually". Delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as weather, strikes, road closures or security incidents) are not a breach of these terms. We will keep you informed.
- Please be available at the address you gave, and check the item on delivery.
6. Keep deals on IWMN
- Seller and agent contact details are hidden until you pay through IWMN.
- Arranging, or trying to arrange, a deal off the Platform with an agent or seller you met through IWMN is not allowed.
- Deals made off the Platform are not covered by IWMN Assured, refunds or disputes. Doing so may lead to suspension of your account.
7. Agents
Agents are independent contractors, not IWMN employees. They agree to a separate IWMN Agent Agreement, which covers:
- verification (ID, payout account and guarantor)
- commission ranges and bonuses
- tiers
- the rule that agents are paid only through IWMN
If anything conflicts with these terms for agents, the Agent Agreement applies.
8. Things you must not do
- Post or offer illegal, stolen, counterfeit or prohibited items, including weapons, drugs, hazardous materials and wildlife products, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- Give false information, impersonate anyone, or create multiple accounts to get around limits or restrictions.
- Harass, threaten or defraud agents, sellers, buyers or IWMN staff.
- Interfere with the Platform, for example by scraping, reverse-engineering, introducing malware or probing security.
9. Disputes between users
If something goes wrong with a deal, use Report a problem. We review the evidence from all sides and decide based on these terms and the Returns and Refunds Policy. Our decision on releasing or refunding held funds is final for the Platform. It does not affect any legal rights you have against the seller.
10. Our responsibility
- For Store items, we are responsible as the seller. You have the rights the law gives you, including under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
- For request deals, the seller is responsible for the item. We are responsible for running the Platform with reasonable care and skill, and for holding and releasing payments as these terms describe.
- Limits on our liability. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for:
- indirect or consequential losses - loss of profit or business - losses caused by events outside our reasonable control
Where we are liable, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned.
- What these limits never affect. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
11. Intellectual property
The IWMN name, logo, app and content belong to I Want My Needs Ltd. You may use the Platform for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, modify or reuse our branding or content without written permission. By posting photos or text (for example, in a request or a review), you give us a licence to use them to run and promote the Platform.
12. Suspension and closing your account
- You can close your account at any time from Profile.
- Open orders, holds and disputes are completed first.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk or is required to be closed by law. Where reasonable, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by SMS at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
14. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- Contact us first; we aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. If we can't, either party may refer the dispute to mediation in Lagos before going to court. The courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
- You can always contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
